Forestry Mulching
Forestry mulching is a land-clearing method that uses a single machine to selectively turn trees, brush, and vines into a beneficial layer of mulch. The resulting land surface can be immediately driven over, mowed, or seeded. The resulting mulch also provides superior erosion protection and reintroduces nutrients right back into the soil.

- Elimination of Invasive Plant Species
Forestry mulching delivers quick results for the amount of work it performs. Depending on the specifics, we can clear 1-4 acres/day. It also eliminates the need for trucks to haul away the debris as there is no waste; all the debris is turned into beneficial mulch. A single machine can perform all these different operations, saving time and fuel consumption costs. This is a win-win situation for property owners looking to be good stewards of time, money, and land.
Benefits of Forestry Mulching
- Clear your overgrown wooded land for more usable space or even just for better visibility into your forest.
- Remove invasive plants and choose which plants/trees you want to keep.
- Erosion and Pest Control: This process removes the habitat that ticks and other pests rely on. Also, the resulting mulch protects root systems and preserves soil and foliage.
- Forestry mulching delivers nutrients back into the land as the mulch breaks down over time, regenerating the soil and providing a healthy environment for trees and plants to thrive. It also mitigates mold growth, helping the wooded area avoid fungus-related diseases.
- Forest mulching is less disruptive than other clearing methods. The land is not scarred or burned, “keeper” trees suffer less damage, and “feeder” roots are protected.
